It dawned on me tonight that my designerness gets in the way of my boyfriendness (I guess thats a word). I was trying to pick out a card to send to my girlfriend who is hundreds of miles away in New York City right now, and I came across a problem… nothing was really good enough. I couldn’t find anything that didn’t have poor typeography, bad graphic forms, or a predictable cliché message. And to complicate matters my girlfriend is a designer too (ok she a fashion designer but a designer non-the-less) so she would have the same issues with the cards that I have.

Guess I need to keep looking. If I had the time and money to design one that would be good enough I would… maybe that should be my weekend project…
